Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!

THE LOST BEAUTY, GLORY AND PARADISE REGAINED

He who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.
I have no fear that the candle lighted in Palestine years ago will never be put out.
The larger the island of knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder.

Genesis 1:26-31 / 2:22 / 3:1-3, 7

At creation, God made man in His image “Let us make man in our image after our likeness”.
This bestowed on man the divine nature of the Trinity. What a privilege!
Man was given specific instructions, but through voluntary disobedience and transgression, fell into sin.
Consequently, man lost the beauty and glory of God as well as the right to live in paradise.
Praise God in the highest, Jesus regained the lost beauty, glory, and paradise for us through His life, death, and resurrection.

THE ORIGINAL PLAN OF GOD FOR MANKIND (Genesis 1:26-30 / 1:31 / Psalms 8:4-6 / 139:14 / 1 Peter 3:3 / 2 Timothy 2:9)

We are uniquely created by God to fulfill His plan and purpose for mankind.
We are delicately and wonderfully made in the image and likeness of God (Psalms 139:14).
We are endowed, provided with both spiritual and physical beauty, love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. (Galatians 5:22).
In the beginning, our physical appearance was perfect and pleasing to God.
We are the chosen ones to preach the gospel and to have sweet fellowship with God.
We have power and authority because God gave us dominion over all the creatures.
We lacked nothing in paradise but due to sin, we lost all the glory and beauty of God (Isaiah 59:1-2 / 2 Corinthians 5:18-21).

THE BEAUTY, GLORY, AND PARADISE LOST AT THE FALL

Man walked in innocence, holiness, and purity before God at the Creation.
Unfortunately, man was careless, gullible, and unaware of the subtlety of the devil and became prey to Satan’s devices (John 10:10 / 1 Peter 5:8).
This singular act of disobedience caused God to withdraw His divine privileges given to us. Thus, curse came upon serpent, man, and the ground.

What Are The Consequences Of The Curse?

The serpent was reduced to a reptile (Genesis 3:14-15).
Strong enmity existed between man and the serpent. Satan was cursed and judged (Genesis 3:14-15).
The woman’s sorrow was multiplied in conception and childbirth. She became subject to her husband’s authority (Genesis 3:16).
Adam was made to eat bread out of his sweat, and he also was subjected to physical death (Genesis 3:17-19).

The ground was cursed for Adam’s sake. It brought out thistles and thorns and became unproductive.
As a result, mankind lost fellowship with God and was driven away from the presence of God and paradise (Genesis 3:24).

To be continued

Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,

Dr. Daniel O. C.
