FAQs
You are welcome to join us if you are:
- A DLCC church member.
- Are minimally 18 years old.
- Are IT proficient. If you have limited technical experience, that’s fine. We can learn together.
- Able to respond quickly to changes and ad hoc requests.
We provide on the job training for two months minimally and extend that if necessary.
New projectionists will serve as a back up until they are ready to serve as the main projectionist for Sunday services.
This depends on our team’s strength. But each team member serves twice a month on average.
A scheduled duty has two parts:
- Two hours on-site preparation on Saturday for Sunday service.
- Be at church by 8am to get ready to serve Sunday Service.
We have chosen a combination of projection tools that include ProPresenter 7 (for multimedia presentation) and Canva (visual design) to provide visual enhancement for the worship and Word.
We run this on Macs onto our media screens around the Sanctuary.
We have encountered countless feature malfunctions and worse challenges where the system crashes – affecting many including our on-site members, the worship team, the preacher and our viewers watching the live broadcast.
In those moments, seconds feel like forever. But the best way is to remain calm, follow the standard operating process and optimise our collective experiences.
