Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!

THE UNIQUENESS OF CHRIST JESUS (CONT’D)

Peace rules the day when Christ rules the soul. If we want an increase of Christ; there must be a decrease of self.
If you want to show how precious Christ can be, make Him pre-eminent.
Many people wanted to find out about Christ Jesus (Matthew 16:14-15).
In response, the disciples gave varying answers, mainly based on what others thought of Him.
So, this prompted Jesus our Lord to ask them, “But who do you say that I am?” (Matthew 16:15).

The same question is thrown to us today. Going into history, we can see that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God.
Born of a virgin, the only Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the whole earth.
Jesus is the only one who brings salvation to whosoever will believe.
Jesus is the only way by which mankind can come to God Almighty.
Jesus Christ is unique and special.
He is unique both in heaven and on earth.
Jesus is unique in time and eternity.
He is as unique to the church as He is to the entire universe.
He is unique both as the Saviour and as the Judge of the earth.
He is unique in His incarnation and resurrection.
When you examine Christ’s life, you will discover that He is unique in holiness and power.

He is unique in humility and authority.
He is unique in suffering also.
He was unique, just as He was in triumph.
Jesus is unique and marvelous in work and there is hardly any word with which to describe what He did.
He is the unique King of the universe.
He is unique in prophecies of the Holy Scriptures; that is the Bible.

The New Testament has great things to say about Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the Saviour of mankind and the entire universe.

  • In the gospel of Matthew, He is Emmanuel; God is with us.
  • In the gospel of Mark, He is the Holy One of God.
  • In the gospel of Luke, He is the Great Physician.
  • In the gospel of John, He is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.
  • In the Book of Acts of the apostles, He is the Prince of Life.

  • In the Book of Romans, He is the Justifier.
  • In First and Second Books of Corinthians, He is our Passover, the Rock and the Foundation of the church.
  • In the Book of Galatians, He is the Redeemer from the curse of law.
  • In the Book of Ephesians, He is the Chief Cornerstone and the Head of the church.
  • In the Book of Philippians, He is the Holy Exalted One, unto whom every knee shall bow.

  • In the Book of Colossians, He is the image of the invisible God.
  • In First and Second Books of Thessalonians, He is the Soon Coming King.
  • In First and Second Timothy, He is the only Mediator between God and man.
  • In the Book of Titus, He is God’s final sacrifice, who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from sins.
  • In Philemon, He is our Substitute. If you can come to God, asking for forgiveness through Jesus, He will forgive you.

  • In Hebrews, He is our Sanctifier.
  • In the Book of James, He is the Lord of Glory.
  • In the First and Second Books of Peter, He is the Great Shepherd, the Overseer of our souls.
  • In First, Second and Third John, He is the Propitiation for our sins.
  • In the Book of Jude, He is the God, coming with ten thousand of His saints.
  • In the Book of Revelations, He is the Alpha and Omega, The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, The Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Evidently, Christ Jesus is unique because of the Father’s exaltation and also our adoration as His people. Since Jesus is the only one who can set us free from the power and penalty of our sins, why can’t we come to Him today in repentance so that He can forgive our sins and give us the power to go and sin no more (Rev 3:20). As we have been saved, we also know that the One living inside of us is the Almighty (1 John 4:4). Beloved saints of the Living God, we are on the victory lane, therefore move on with total commitment.

To be continued.

Remain blessed and rapturable,

Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,

Dr. Daniel O. C.
