“WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF OCTOBER – RESPONSIBILITY”

Welcome to the month of OCTOBER which is the TENTH month of the year. Figure Ten signifies RESPONSIBILITY. May we ask the Lord to help us remain responsible to our sacred duty unto the Lord in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

We are wishing you all also a Blessed FEAST OF YOM KIPPUR, which is the FEAST of ATONEMENT.

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“Because the weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they have God’s power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments and every arrogance……..” (2 Corinthians 10:4-6)

Although we live in the natural realm, we don’t wage a military campaign employing human weapons, using manipulation to achieve our aims.

Instead, our spiritual weapons are energized with divine power to effectively dismantle the defences behind which people hide.

We can demolish every deceptive fantasy that opposes God and break through every arrogant attitude that is raised up in defiance of the true knowledge of God. We capture, like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that it bow in obedience to the Anointed One.

Since we are armed with such dynamic weaponry, we stand ready to punish any trace of rebellion as soon as you choose complete obedience.

THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE
(Ephesians 6:10-18)

Flesh and blood cannot fight the battle for souls successfully because there are numerous adversaries:-
Satan / principalities / powers / rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Almighty God has therefore provided divine and spiritual arms and ammunition more than equal to the task.

What are these weapons:-

Salvation
(Ephesians 6:17 / Acts 19:13-16 / Colossians 3:10)
The sons of Sceva got bruised ministering in the name of the Christ in whom they had not believed or had a personal relationship.

The primordial qualification of those engaged in the battle of the Lord is that their sins must have to be washed away by the atoning blood of the Lamb and their names written in the Book of Life.

Breastplate Of Righteousness
(Philippians 2:15 / Ephesians 4:1 / Matthew 5:13-16 / 1 Timothy 4:12)
We must be living epistles, living a life that will glorify God and bring others to Christ.
In any environment we find ourselves, we should be our neighbours Bible.

Word Of God
(Ephesians 6:17 / 1 Peter 1:23 / Psalms 119:11, 105 / 2 Timothy 3:15)
A good working knowledge of the word of God is essential for an effective witness.

Faith
(Ephesians 6:16 / Daniel 3:13-27)
Total faith in the God of battle and His ability to save souls as well as faith in the weapons of our warfare and the power of God to defend and protect us are all vital for success.

Prayer
(Psalms 2:8; 62:1 / Romans 10:1 / Ezekiel 22:30)
As we intercede for the lost, the Lord will draw them to Himself. Prayer will pull down all hindrances and give power and anointing to our preaching so that sinners will be convicted.

Consecration
(2 Timothy 2:4 / 1 Chronicles 29:5 / 1 Corinthians 10)
A true soldier must be committed and not distracted by the things of the world.

Holy Spirit
(Micah 3:8 / Acts 1:8 / Isaiah 61:1 / Zechariah 4:6)
It is the Spirit of the Lord that raises up a standard against Satan and his hosts (Isaiah 59:19). It is the Spirit of the Lord who gives the word power and convicts sinners.

Name And Presence Of The Lord
(1 Samuel 17:45 / Proverbs 18:10 / 2 Chronicles 16:9 / Matthew 28:20)
Evangelism is waging war in the enemy’s territory in order to liberate his captives. The name and power of the Lord is our strong defence and protection.
