WHAT OUR ATTITUDE SHOULD BE IN PERSECUTION

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Dear friends, don’t regard as strange the fiery ordeal occurring among you to test you, as if something extraordinary were happening to you. Rather, to the extent that you share the fellowship of the Messiah’s sufferings, rejoice; so that you will rejoice even more when his Sh’khinah is revealed…….. ” (1 Peter 4:12-14)

Beloved, do not be amazed and bewildered at the fiery ordeal which is taking place to test your quality, as though something strange, unusual and alien to you and your position were befalling you.

But insofar as you are sharing Christ’s sufferings, rejoice, so that when His glory, full of radiance and splendor is revealed, you may also rejoice with triumph exultantly.

If you are censured and suffer abuse because you bear the name of Christ, blessed are you–happy, fortunate, to be envied, with life-joy, and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of your outward condition, because the Spirit of glory, the Spirit of God, is resting upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.

WHAT OUR ATTITUDE SHOULD BE IN PERSECUTION

What should our attitude be during persecution? Jesus, when He was crucified prayed, “Father, forgive them for they know not what do” (Luke 23:34)

Let’s see the example of Paul in 1 Corinthians 4:12, “When we are persecuted, we take it patiently and endure it.” The Bible also tells us to, “Bless them which persecute you, bless and curse not” (Romans 12:14). “… and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you” (Matthew 5:44)

“Rejoice ye in that day and leap for joy …” (Luke 6:23). See how high you can leap and jump for joy and shout, “Glory be to the Lord,” in the midst of your persecution!

In all these sufferings the word of God tells us that we are not forsaken (2 Corinthians 4:9) The presence of the Lord is there with us and we do not have to walk the road alone.

In the midst of the burning fiery furnace of persecution the Son of God is there with us, to strengthen and uphold us. So let’s rejoice and be glad for rich and abundance is our reward in heaven when we have endured persecution patiently.

THE SON OF GOD WILL WALK INTO YOUR FIRERY FURNACE IN JESUS ‘ NAME!

Somebody shout, “AMEN & AMEN!

Shalom and good morning.
