2. WHAT IS GOD SAYING TO US TODAY?
BELIEVERS’ LOOK UP!

Luke 21:28
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

By looking up, we will stop looking down.
God wants us to:

Stop threatening our family stability.
Stop using vulgarity, stop using those unprofitable words.
Stop those physical and verbal abuses.
Stop threatening to walk out of your family.
Stop blaming others for your problems but humble yourself and look up for your redemption is near.

Nobody should blame his or her pastor, leader, husband, wife, boss, work pressure, tension or fellow believers as an excuse for your disobedience to God (Matthew 12:34-37).
Our heavenly Father has given us His Word, the Bible for information of truth and instruction on what is right.
What does God require of us until the end of this age? “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you
but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).

Considering the frequency and magnitude of wars, cyclones, hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes, floods and other disasters, there is no doubt that this world is coming to an end. It is time to look up! It is time to look beyond the miracles of the past and comforts of successful ministry or career. There is still much more to trust God for (Exodus 19:10-11 / Hosea 6:3 / Exodus 24:16 / 31:17).

Many churches today are so engrossed with their activities, excitement, enjoyment of prosperity like the church of Laodicea that they forget that Jesus is at the door knocking (Revelation 3:14-20). Beloved, this is the exact state of today’s church in a vibrant city-state like ours.
Let us wake up, look up, respond to the Lord’s knocking, open the door and give Him room in our lives.
