“CAST DOWN BUT UNCONQUERED”

BELOVED SAINTS, JOIN ME IN PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING TO GOD MOST HIGH AS I MARK MY 43rd YEAR OF HUMBLE SERVICE TO THE FAITHFUL GOD TODAY. ALL GLORY TO THE LORD GOD ALONE!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“We have all kinds of troubles, but we are not crushed; we are perplexed, yet not in despair; persecuted, yet not abandoned; knocked down, yet not destroyed…….” (2 Corinthians 4:8-10)

Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out. We continually share in the death of Jesus in our own bodies so that the resurrection life of Jesus will be revealed through our humanity.

CAST DOWN BUT UNCONQUERED
Are you hated, scorned, despised, defamed, excluded from men’s company, cast out, had all manner of evil said against you falsely, and your name spurned as evil on account of Jesus Christ?

Then blessed are you! (Matthew 5:11). So do not be utterly dejected or lose faith but with steadfastness continue in your walk with the Lord.

All of us will suffer persecution sometime in our life. 2 Timothy 3:12 tells us, “Indeed all who delight in piety and are determined to live a devoted and godly life in Christ Jesus will meet with persecution. They will be made to suffer because of their religious stand.” Notice that it does not say that rebuke for sinful living is persecution.

There is no trial that we have to go through which Jesus Himself did not bear. Jesus was persecuted by the very people whom He came to die for. “If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you,” He says in John 15:20.

The prophets also suffered. “Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience” (James 5:10).

Many who have lived and believed on the Lord Jesus before us have been persecuted and have even given their lives to stand up for their faith. Hebrews 11:35-40 is a testimony of some of them.

Your suffering is not in vain. Do not despair! The only reason that you are persecuted is because of Jesus Christ whose name you bear. “But all these things they will do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not Him that sent me” (John 15:21).

The world does not know the Father. Their eyes have been blinded to the truth and it is your example which would serve to bring light into their lives.

“PRESS ON TO THE FINISH LINE IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!”

Everybody shout, “AMEN HALLELUJAH!”
