“ARISE & BE DILIGENT IN PRAYER!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“But I will call on God, and Adonai will save me. Evening, morning and noon I complain and moan; but he hears my voice. He redeems me and gives me peace so that no one can come near me. For there were many who fought me.” (Psalms 55:16-18)
As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I utter my complaint and moan and sigh, and He will hear my voice. He has redeemed my life in peace from the battle that was against me so that none came near me, for they were many who strove with me.
Are you waiting for something awful and terrible to happen before you seriously get down to pray? That’s what happens in the lives of most people.
Spiritual awakening and the reality of prayer strike in the hearts of some people only when there is a shaking in the concerns of those near and dear or themselves or something precious and important.
Satan taps on the weakness of flesh and its confidence in itself. When everything goes well and there is no trouble, you begin to rest confidently on the peace of that situation. You will begin to get a little lax in prayer.
Soon, you find that you can easily pass off some days without praying and still be “protected.” Arise, beloved, give yourself no room for such negligence of prayer.
This false security will soon pass when tragedy occurs, and then you will begin to realise that there is meaning and power in prayer. Pray! Pray now! Begin to pray like you have never done before.
Though you do not see what is happening with your physical eyes, there is much happening in the spirit when you pray constantly, unceasingly and for one another. How much of yourself have you given to prayer?
How serious is praying in your heart that you would spare yourself to stand in the gap for the concerns of others?
Since we are approaching the end of all things, be intentional, purposeful, and self-controlled so that you can be given to prayer. The Word of God warns us, “But the end of all things is at hand; therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers” (1 Peter 4:7).
BE BLESSED AS YOU ENGAGE YOUR SELF IN PRAYER!
Somebody shout, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
