“BELIEVERS AND INTERCESSION”
WELCOME TO THE MONTH OF JULY WHICH IS THE SEVENTH MONTH OF THE YEAR. FIGURE SEVEN SIGNIFIES PERFECTION OR COMPLETION. THE LORD GOD WILL PERFECT WHAT CONCERNS YOU IN THIS SEASON IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Then Yeshua told His talmidim a parable, in order to impress on them that they must always keep praying and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1).
Jesus Christ, the Anointed One told His apostles a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward, faint, lose heart, and give up.
Jesus our Lord and Saviour is instructing us to keep praying and never stop or lose hope.
BELIEVERS AND INTERCESSION
Our business in prayer is not to prescribe but to subscribe to the wisdom and will of God.
Our business in prayer is to refer our case and concern to God, then leave it with Him to manage.
Do not face the day until you have faced God.
Change matters of care and concern to substance of prayer. Prayer is walking in the spirit and pouring out your heart to God and hearing what He’s got to say about your petition.
We have a lot to learn from the New Testament Church in regard to prayer and intercession.
The Early Church has a lot to teach and offer in regard to standing in the gap. Parents and others interceded on behalf of their loved ones.
Parents pleaded with Jesus to heal their sick children. Jairus’ daughter was healed and brought back to life (Mark 5:22-43).
The noble man’s son was healed (John 4:47-53).
A group of mothers asked Jesus to bless their kids (Mark 10:13-16).
A centurion pleaded for his servant to be healed (Matthew 8:5-13).
Zebedee’s wife (James and John’s mother) interceded with Jesus on behalf of her children (Matthew 20:20-21).
The New Testament church interceded on behalf of various individuals.
The church in Jerusalem gathered together to pray for Peter’s release from prison (Acts 12:5-12).
The church in Antioch prayed for the ministry success of Paul and Barnabas, and they had success (Acts 13:3-12).
Apostle James instructed the elders of the church to pray for the sick (James 5:13-14).
Again, James the Apostle instructed all believers to pray for each other (James 5:16 / Hebrew 13:18-19).
Objectives Of Intercession
You may ask, what are the objectives, aims, purposes and reasons for intercessions. It is:
To plead with God to turn aside His judgement (Genesis 18:23-32 / Numbers 14:13-19 / Joel 2:17).
To plead with God on behalf of those in authority (1 Chronicles 29:19 / 1 Timothy 2:1-2).
To bless God’s people (Numbers 6:24-26 / 1 Kings 18:41-45 / Psalm 122:6-8).
For the healing of the people (1 Kings 17:20-21 / Acts 28:8 / James 5:14-16).
This is your month of MIRACLES, therefore reach out and possess your Possession in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Everybody shout a resounding, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
