“CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD’S LOVE”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“Don’t let love be a mere outward show. Recoil from what is evil, and cling to what is good. Love each other devotedly and with brotherly love; and set examples for each other in showing……….” (Romans 12:9-13).

Let your love be sincere and a real thing. Hate what is evil and loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness, but hold fast to that which is good. Love one another with brotherly affection as members of one family, giving precedence and showing honor to one another.

Never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor; be aglow and burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord. Rejoice and exult in hope; be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation; be constant in prayer.

Contribute to the needs of God’s people, sharing in the necessities of the saints, pursue the practice of hospitality.

CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD’S LOVE
These are characteristics of God’s love which He wants us to demonstrate towards one another:

A giving kind of love (Titus 2:14)
A sharing love (Acts 2:44-47)

Sympathetic love (Luke 10:30-37/John 11:35-37)
Kind-hearted love (1 Samuel 30:11-13)
Hospitable love (Matthew 9:10-13)

Generous and caring love (Acts 16:14-15)
Enduring love (2 Timothy 2:3)
Self-sacrificing love (1 Corinthians 9:22)

Courteous and humble love (1 Peter 3:1-6)
Forbearing and patient love (Hebrews 10:32-34)
Self-crucifying and serving love (1 Corinthians 9:16-24)
May the Lord our loving God bless you as you obey His divine call to love even when it hurts in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

So faith, hope, love abide, faith–conviction and belief respecting man’s relation to God and divine things; hope–joyful and confident expectation of eternal salvation; love–true affection for God and man, growing out of God’s love for and in us, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

GOD IS LOVE AND LOVE IS OF GOD.
