THE DIVINE CALL

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“For God’s free gifts and his calling are irrevocable” (Romans 11:29).

For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.

THE DIVINE CALL
We are saved to serve but we never serve to get saved. True service is love for Christ in working clothes. Service was never intended as a substitute for a godly life.

Divine call is a call from heaven ordained by God and approved by Him alone who is worthy to receive all glory. The calling of Moses and Joshua is a unique example for us to study.(Exodus 3:3-6; Joshua 5:13-15)

There are many people who are called in the Old and New Testaments with a heavenly vision, mission and mandate. To mention but a few, Adam, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Aaron, Samuel, David, Deborah, Esther, Nehemiah, Ezra, Daniel, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Peter, Paul etc.
These men and women of God had a divine call upon their lives to fulfill the will of God in their generation.

Will you make yourself ready to fulfill the divine will of God concerning your generation?
Consider today and do not be indecisive anymore! (Joel 3:14) The Almighty God in His divine wisdom and power has also raised up men and women in our generation who serve Him faithfully.

Such people as Jonathan Edwards, William Wilberforce, Adam Clarke, David Brainerd, John Owen, William Gurnail, Jeremy Burroghs, John Wesley, Martin Luther, Charles G. Finney etc.
These servants were distinguished by their boldness and zeal for the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

These servants of God were set apart from the rest of the crowd of humanity by their courage.
They were marked out by their fearlessness.
They shone by their sheer determination to win the battles into which circumstances thrust them.

Like Elijah the prophet, they fought for the glory of God and the Almighty God elevated them to the princely rank of generals in His great and awesome all time army. These generals of the Lord were motivated by love, inspired by God, fired up by the Holy Ghost and enriched with Word of God.

They took their battle cry from the very lips of the apostles of the early church. Following the holy writ from the heroic examples they declared war against all opposing forces of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

They determined to pull down all high places of paganism and heathenism by lifting up the banner of the holy gospel to their generations.
Isn’t it a challenge to all of us?

LET US DO THE SAME FOR GOD’S GLORY IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!

Everybody shout a loud, “AMEN & AMEN!

Shalom and good morning.
