Dearly Beloved in the Lord,

Do you remember the day you came into this world? You would not but your parents or the doctor who delivered you will tell you that you came with nothing. Your hands were empty. Your body did not have any clothes and you were naked. The only “thing” that connected you to your mother was the umbilical cord, which also was cut off. From then one you were on your own to a new life on the earth! Since then you have come a long way. You are clothed! Your hands are always holding something…food money, phones, wallets, instruments etc. Once you were carried now you can walk.  You can talk. You can think. You can lead. You can command.
Life has been going on and those hands which were once empty has learned to grab, hold, possess and grab more! You are slowly working your way through life. But truly where are you headed to?  What will you do with the life that has been given to you? So many agendas are on the horizon of your life and each day you are scrambling to fulfill dreams, visions, responsibilities, career, interests, social ties etc. Have you asked yourself? What am I living for? What will be the end of my life? Where will I be at the end of it all? The bible tells about the man who had a barn. (Luke 12:16-21)
“Then He(Jesus) spoke a parable to them, saying: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded plentifully. 17 And he thought within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no room to store my crops?’ 18 So he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease; eat, drink, and be merry.” ’ 20 But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?
21 “So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”

You had declared that for you and your house you would serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15)
When the call was given just like Isaiah you said to the Lord, “Here am I. Send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)
You had surrendered yourself to the Lord laying yourself at His feet identifying that you were dead and that it was Christ living in you. Galatians (2:20)
But where does your life stand today? If the Lord were to come today, what is your life? Nothing of what you hoarded in life will stay. All that will perish. Only what you have done for the Lord will last.
This night if your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided? What have you to present of your life to the Lord? Is there one soul to whom you shared the gospel of Jesus? Is there obedience to the last commission that the Lord gave us, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)
If you could see the heart of the Lord for the sick, lost and unsaved, if you could see the compassion the Lord Jesus had when He was upon the earth, if you regarded the word of God to be valued and to be obeyed, you would reconsider your life? You would ponder what you are living for! You would know that before the throne of God, earthly pursuits are in vain. Let love for the lost be stirred in your heart today. Go out and tell someone about Jesus. You were once heading straight for hell but someone reached out to you and preached Jesus to you and you were saved. Will you remember your salvation and reach out to someone lost and on the way to hell? Today is the day to do it beloved! Pick up a healing service pamphlet and invite them to church to be healed by Jesus. Tell someone about Jesus today. Don’t put it off for tomorrow.
