SPEAKING LIFE BEGETS LIFE, NOT DEATH!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Moreover, I tell you this: on the Day of Judgment people will have to give account for every careless word they have spoken; for by your own words you will be acquitted, and by your own words you will be condemned.” (Matthew 12:36-37)

I tell you, on the day of judgment, men will have to give account for every idle, inoperative, and nonworking word they speak. For by your words, you will be justified and acquitted and by your words, you will be condemned and sentenced.

THE THIEVES ON THE CROSS
(Luke 23:39-42)
These men are about to spend all their eternity in hell. They had been criminals all their lives; justice caught up with them and sent them to the cross. One of the criminals jeered Jesus in verse 39. This is the wrong use of the tongue. He died and went to hell.

But the second criminal rebuked him (vs 40-42) – this is the right use of the tongue. He was diverted from the threshold of hell to the heavenly paradise. There is life in the right use of the tongue.

It is quite unfortunate for a man or a woman to allow his or her tongue to destroy him or her. Sad enough but many deliberately still do.
Pharaoh ignorantly said “Who is that God?” and he died suddenly.

King Nebuchadnezzar challenged God’s ability to deliver when he said “Who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?” Again, he boasted of his beautiful empire and refused to recognize the sovereignty of God. He was turned into an animal.

Miriam made a disparaging remark about Moses, the servant of God, and reaped leprosy in return.

People of Israel died in the wilderness because of ungodly utterances they made in the wilderness against Moses and God.

Herod, the king, was destroyed suddenly and eaten by worms because he did not give glory to God.

The king’s assistant heard the prophecy of Elisha and doubted (2 Kings 7:12). Instead of keeping quiet, he made an ungodly remark. Therefore, he did not live to see the miracle (v17-20). The people trod upon him in the gate, and he died. He was killed by his tongue. Beware.

Do you know that because of your critical comment, you can drive people away from God’s blessing. Some people who claim that there is a curse upon their lives may be unaware that it was caused by a careless unwary use of their tongues.

A young woman may wonder why young men avoid approaching her for marriage, without knowing that it is her tongue that is the issue. Whenever she speaks, bullet, arrows, spears, daggers and swords proceed out of her mouth in the form of words.

Therefore, young men become scared of her. It is not enough to blame the devil for your problems but your tongue is responsible for many of your problems. (Proverbs 17:20)

LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE.

Shalom and good morning.
