“THE CHARACTERISTICS FOR SERVING THE LIVING GOD!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Therefore fear Adonai, and serve Him truly and sincerely. Put away the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve Adonai! If it seems bad to you to serve Adonai, then choose today whom you are going to serve! Will it be the gods your ancestors served beyond the river or the gods………..” (Josh 24:14-17)
Now therefore, reverently fear the Lord, Adonai Yahweh and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; put away the gods of this world which your fathers served in the past due to ignorance but make up your minds to serve the Lord God Almighty for your good.
If it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served in their ignorance. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
Let every sincere person answer, “Far be it from me that I will forsake the Lord to serve other gods.” For it is the Lord our God Who brought us up out of the land of bondage with great signs and wonders to preserve us for His glory.
I CHOOSE TO SERVE THE LIVING GOD
We are saved to serve but never serve to get saved. The believers’ talents are not to be laid up for self but laid out in service. Service was never intended as a substitute for a godly life.
The Characteristics For Serving The Living God
- We must know our God (Daniel 11:32).
- We must have a relationship with God (Philippians 3:10). Knowing is a relationship, and there is no relationship without commitment and no commitment without time investment.
- We must abide in the Lord (John 15:4-8).
- We must be obedient (Acts 5:29).
- We must be faithful (1 Corinthians 4:1-2).
- We must pray without ceasing (Philippians 4:6 / 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
- We must be wise and courteous (Colossians 4:5-6).
- We must exercise patience and confidence (Hebrews 10:35-36).
- We must be unselfish but diligent in serving the Lord (Romans 12:11-13).
- We must bless those who persecute us (Romans 12:14-15).
- Let us serve the Lord God with all of our hearts, souls, and Spirit, in sincerity, faithfulness, and commitment without hypocrisy in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Everybody shout a loud “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
