WE ARE WISHING ALL THE FATHERS A HAPPY AND BLESSED FATHER’S DAY IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

Sing to God, sing praises to His name; extol Him who rides on the clouds by His name, Yah; and be glad in His presence. God, in His holy dwelling, is a father to orphans and a defender of widows.” (Psalms 68:5-6)

To the fatherless, He is a Father. To the widow, He is a champion friend. The lonely He makes part of a family. The prisoners lead into prosperity until they sing for joy. This is our Holy God in His Holy Place! But for the rebels, there is heartache and despair.

THE BLESSED FATHER

God loves each one of us as if there was only one of us. Many people believe in God, but not many believe God.

A wise son makes a glad father.
The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother.

WHO IS A FATHER?
A father refers to the male parent.
Fathers are to submit themselves to the Lordship of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. In order to have success in the leading of your God-given family, you need to submit to the Lord in sincerity and truth.

Many men are tyrannical and ruthless in the way they run their families. They do not care about the feelings of their spouse and children. We as fathers must rule our household in righteousness because God is our Father.

King David declares (1 Chronicles 29:10)

SOME OF THE CHARACTERISTICS OF OUR HEAVENLY FATHER (Psalms 145:8-10, 14-18)

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works and the entirety of things created.

All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, and Your loving ones shall bless You affectionately and gratefully shall Your saints confess and praise You!

COMPONENTS OF A FATHER FIGURE

  • Figure of authority.
  • Figure of security.
  • Figure of provision.
  • Figure of impartiality.
  • Figure of dedication.
  • Figure of ministry.
  • Figure of re-assurance.
  • Figure of counsel.
  • Figure of discipline.
  • Figure of prayer.

Abraham prayed for Ishmael. (Genesis 17:18)
David, the king, prayed for his child. (2 Samuel 12:16)
Job prayed for his children. (Job 1:5)
Manoah did also. (Judges 13:8)

All the fathers in this dispensation must also endeavour to pray for their households in general for God’s glory.
