“BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF WOMEN WITH TRANSFORMED LIVES AND TONGUES!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Hannah was speaking in her heart — her lips moved, but her voice could not be heard — so Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Stop drinking your wine…….!” (1 Samuel 1:13-17)
Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, “How long will you be intoxicated?” Put wine away from you.
But Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit.” I have drunk neither wine nor a strong drink, but I was pouring out my soul before the Lord.
Regard not your handmaid as a wicked woman for out of my great complaint and bitter provocation, I have been speaking. Then Eli said, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant your petition which you have asked of Him.”
BIBLICAL EXAMPLES OF WOMEN WITH TRANSFORMED LIFE AND TONGUE.
In the Book of First Samuel, in the first chapter, the Bible narrated the experience of a Jewish woman who was pouring out her heart to God in prayer. She wanted her marriage to be blessed with children.
But Prophet Eli misunderstood her and unwillingly charged her with drunkenness. He assumed himself to be sure to the extent that he told Hannah to put away wine from herself. (1 Sam 1:14)
How many of us would take gently an allegation from our leaders?
How many of us will flare up and possibly threaten to leave the church and call the leader a false prophet? But Hannah, the woman who honoured God in her heart, responded meekly, saying……..” (1 Samuel 1:15-16)
Prophet Eli was so overwhelmed with her reply that he pronounced blessings on her. (v 17). Glory to God Almighty!
THE WOMAN OF CANAAN
(Matthew 15:22-28)
Some professing Christians today will say, “What am I doing in this church?” I have been insulted. I cannot take it any longer. What am I looking for? No respect for me, not even affection for my family. The Canaanite woman’s faith and positive confession got her the needed miracles.
THE SHUNAMMITE WOMAN (2 Kings 4:25-26)
This woman had lost her only son. Her situation, no doubt, was pitiably hopeless. She decided to seek the man of God for possible solutions. She was asked if all was well, and she answered yes.
She knew, for with God, nothing is impossible. Her positive confession and faith brought forth God’s omnipotent power on the child’s resurrection, to God alone be the glory in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Beloved, God Almighty, EL Shaddai, hasn’t lost any battle. Therefore, He will definitely not lose your battle in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
Everybody shout a loud “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
