Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!

LEADERSHIP CHALLENGES

Nothing so conclusively proves a man’s ability to lead others as what he does from day to day to lead himself.
Leaders who win the respect of others are the ones who deliver more than they promise, not the ones who promise more than they can deliver. Therefore, the will to succeed is important but what is more important is the will to prepare.

EXODUS 18:21 / ISAIAH 11:2-5

There are numerous challenges facing church leadership in the churches of the world.
These leadership challenges can be overcome if only we can humble ourselves, admit our mistakes and sincerely follow God.
Beloved saints of God, if we are going to move on from strength to strength and see the great move of God, we need to change our attitude and behaviour. In order to rectify the problems that threaten our life, family, ministry and the divine call of God in our lives, we must learn to eliminate all false humility.

For us to eradicate the dark forces threatening our future and our forward march as a church, we must review and re-examine ourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5). The Almighty God is calling every one of us to rise up to our divine calling. To rise up to face, fight and get rid of these challenges, we must not be like the ostrich burying our head in the sand while our entire body is exposed to dangers.

LEADERSHIP CHALLENGES

Leadership challenges are practical problems facing the leadership of our time and generation regardless of the denomination or evangelical group or ministry to which we belong. The future of God’s assignment upon our lives demand that we address these problems adequately.

WHAT ARE THESE CHALLENGES?

Problems Of Individualism And Indispensability
Many church founders or Senior Pastors feel that they are neither responsible nor accountable to anyone.
They feel that they can preach, teach, talk and lead their congregation in whatever way they like without being questioned.
Sometimes church founders behave as if they are the Alpha and Omega of their ministries.
They relate to no one, and they take no advice from anyone (Isaiah 65:5).
This is evil and it must be avoided.

Problems Of Groupism And Pitching Of Camps
The problem of groupism has eaten up the unity of the Body of Christ.
Sometimes, leaders tend to pitch their selfish camps in the church in order to satisfy their selfish ambition while creating problems for others. Sometimes, leaders lead by “divide and rule policy” in order to prevent the groups from being in unity and dislodging him from position (Psalms 133:1-3).

Problems Of Wrong Motive
Many leaders are in the ministry for wrong motives and wrong reasons.
The desire for self-enrichment, get rich quick and financial lucre has eaten up the spiritual zeal of many church leaders.
This must not be mentioned amongst us; rather we must be content with what God has given to us (Proverbs 13:7, 11).
There have been too many reports about the abuse of church and ministry fund and finances for personal gain.
This is also evil; remember God sees your motives as much as He sees your actions.

To be continued.

Remain blessed and rapturable,

Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,

Dr. Daniel O. C.
