Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!

WHO IS A CHRISTIAN? (CONT’D)

If you are a true Christian, then the word “CHRISTIAN” must be spelt out in your life. Whereby:

C = CONVERSION
Genuine conversion to Christ will be evident in your life, language, attitude, dressing and disposition (character, make-up, nature, spirit).

H = HONESTY
There is no dishonest Christian. You will be honest to yourself, to God and to your neighbours. Honesty is the first law in the book of morals (1 Cor 1:12).

R = RENEWED
You will be renewed in your inner man (Eph 4:22-24 / Rom 12:2). A Christian is renewed because he or she has plunged himself or herself into Christ’s blood to be washed from sin. Have you plunged yourself into Christ’s blood for a cleansing power?

I = INSTRUCTED
You are instructed in spiritual things and know what the rest of the world does not know. You will know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, not just a great Teacher, Healer, Prophet or a Good Man.

S = SEPARATED
A Christian is someone who has chosen to be separated from the world in order to please God. Jesus our Redeemer and Messiah separated Himself to please His Father in all things. When we live life of separation unto God, the side attractions of the world will mean nothing to us. The love of the world will be a thing of the past (2 Cor 6:17-18 / 1 John 2:15-17 / James 4:4).

T = TEMPERATE
As a Christian, you must be moderate in all things of life. You must be diligent and disciplined in all aspects of life. The things of life must not dominate your life but your life must be ruled and dominated by godly influence due to the presence of the Holy Spirit.

I = INTERCEDING

A Christian is an intercessor and a prayer warrior. As an intercessor, you will always depend much on prayer. You will always be looking up to heaven for solutions to your problems, whether personal or otherwise.

A = ALERT
A Christian must be awake to righteousness. Though Satan comes against you with temptation, you will not be caught unaware. The presence of the Holy Spirit will enable you to resist him. You will always be watchful, sober and vigilant because the devil is actively working and seeking whom to devour. Remember in all temptations, God has made a way of escape for us.

N = NOBLE
A Christian is noble and dignified. You will not say or do anything that will make people or the world to ridicule the Christian faith. As a Christian, people judge your Lord by you (2 Cor 5:17 / 1 John 3:9).

Living the new life through Christ Jesus does not permit or allow us to continue in sin. A Christian lives the new life in the power of Christ Jesus. One of the evidences of salvation and separation from the world is easily and quickly noticeable in a saved or born again person through his or her speech and behaviour. When there is true and genuine change of life, the grace of God flows abundantly to make the Christian resist sin and evil, living victoriously while on earth.

Today, the miracle of salvation can be yours if you surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus Christ will wash away your sin if you are ready to start a new beginning with the merciful Lord. His grace is sufficient for you to live a sin free life. Be a Christian today in words, deeds and actions in Jesus’ name Amen! Make God happy and Jesus glad by living as a true Christian.
