WOW – 20 MAY 2026: LEADERSHIP CHALLENGES (CONT’D)
Senior Pastor Daniel O. C. | May 20, 2026
Calvary greetings to you in the blessed name of Jesus Christ our Saviour, Amen!
LEADERSHIP CHALLENGES (CONT’D)
Problem Of Lack Of Mentors And Fathers
This is a serious leadership issue. The cry today is for genuine and true mentors and spiritual fathers. Most of the so-called mentors have become tormentors and fathers become feathers. The mentors and spiritual fathers have failed to lead by examples (1 Tim 4:12).
Apostle Paul encourages us to be examples in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith and in purity. Leaders must be balanced, open and transparent in their approach to issues and scriptures. Wrong models of leaders will hurt the believers and the body of Christ more than anything else.
Problem Of Lack Of Learning And Developing Spirit
Many leaders are lacking in the spirit of learning and development. Lack of a learning spirit will hinder individual growth. Some leaders or pastors are like stagnant water. Leaders without relevant, current and up to date information are bound to lead people or the church upside down.
HOW CAN WE OVERCOME THESE CHALLENGES AND PROBLEMS
Do not forget that every challenge or problem in life has a solution. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God can help us to overcome all these formidable challenges and problems.
These are the steps:
- Willingness to admit mistakes.
- Eliminating pretenses and cunningness in our lives.
- Praying seriously and seeking God whole-heartedly.
- Willingness to adjust to changes.
- Keeping the vision of God afresh.
- Rediscovering of God’s heart and purpose.
- Willingness to embrace truth with all our strength.
- Restoring our relationship with God and other leaders.
- Giving and receiving forgiveness from others.
- Renewing our vision and commitment to our divine call.
- Renewing our mind and getting our hearts transformed.
- Maintaining peace and holiness.
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
