“CODE FOR INFLUENCE!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Hear, oh heavens, as I speak! Listen, earth, to the words from my mouth! May my teaching fall like rain. May my speech condense like dew, like light rain on blades of grass, or showers on growing plants. For I will proclaim the name of Adonai …………” ( Deuteronomy 32:1-4)
Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; and let the earth hear the words of my mouth. My message shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the light rain upon the tender grass, and as the showers upon the herb.
For I will proclaim the name and presence of the Lord. Concede and ascribe greatness to our God. He is the Rock, His work is perfect, for all His ways are law and justice. A God of faithfulness without breach or deviation, just and right is He.
CODE FOR INFLUENCE
The code for influence can be found in Daniel 5:5-7, 10-14.
Regardless of the fact that Daniel was a captive in a strange and foreign land, he had tremendous influence on the people.
When Daniel spoke, the people listened even though he had no position or title.
We can have influence over others because of the following factors:
Relationship: People can listen to you because of relationship and more so because of who you know and who you are.
Our relationship with God will influence people to listen to us.(Daniel 11:32 / Philippians 3:10-11). Your contacts and network also helps to influence others.
Sacrifice: What we have sacrificed and are willing to sacrifice too will ultimately persuade people to listen to us and be influenced. There is no reward without a sacrifice and no benefit without a paid price. Nehemiah the builder sacrificed his legal rights (Nehemiah 5:14-19).
Character: We can influence others because of our integrity, blamelessness, trustworthiness, righteous behaviour and uprightness.
Joseph and Noah were men of integrity in their respective generations. They possessed a strong sense of godliness, security, identity, empathy, purpose and perspective (Genesis 45:4-7).
BELOVED, HAVE CHARACTER BUT DON’T BE A CHARACTER!
Somebody shout, “AMEN HALLELUJAH!”
Shalom and good morning.
