“GUARD AGAINST ALL DEFILEMENT FROM THE EVIL ONE”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“Wouldn’t God have discovered this, since He knows the secrets of the heart?” (Psalm 44:21)

Would not God discover this? For He, Adonai Yahweh knows the secrets of the heart.

BEHIND CLOSED DOORS
When you are all alone away from the supervision of those responsible for you, do you give in to all the weak tempting thoughts and impulses of the flesh?

Do you think that no one is watching and consider that as the best opportunity to have a time of your life doing all those things that you ever wanted to, but could not because you were always under scrutiny?

Beloved, do not be deceived! You cheat no one but yourself! A pure and holy life is not out of your reach. At the beginning of this year you must have made so many resolutions – to walk holy unto the Lord your God.

You made a promise to read the bible faithfully, to spend at least an hour in prayer daily, to witness enthusiastically, to fast and pray for long periods, to utilize your time and talents in service for the Lord, etc.

You started off so well. But along the way there were some hindrances, some distractions and you gave room for them until you found yourself far away from all those good goals.

What you did not see was the beguilement of Satan! He drew you away and got you entangled in his hold. There has been so much of regret and guilt in you. All the time that you loved to spend in the presence of the Lord looks like a waste of time now.

Those things which you loved to do – spending hours with the word of God and allowing yourself to be lost in the wonder of His glory have now come to mean nothing to you. Prayer! Was it not your very breath? But now it has lost all its joy and spontaneity.

No one is ever exempt of temptation. Right from the Garden of Eden starting with Eve, Satan has never stopped in all his attempts to bring destruction to the people of God by turning them against the Lord.
This is what you must know.

Paul says in 2 Corinthians 11:3, “But now I’m afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s clever lies, your thoughts may be corrupted and you may lose your single-hearted devotion and pure love for Christ..”

BE ON YOUR GUARD AND BE WATCHFUL!
