FELLOWSHIP STRENGTHENS OUR BOND AS BELIEVERS!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

They continued faithfully in the teaching of the emissaries, in fellowship, in breaking bread and in the prayers.” (Acts 2:42)

Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer.

The desire to fellowship with God and His people remains a natural corollary to the new birth experience. Though man fell from grace, God was longing for a continuous fellowship with us that compelled Him to send His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to reconcile us to Himself.

To foster and sustain this fellowship, we should therefore be prepared to abide by the doctrines of the Bible. Similarly, the disciples in the early church realized that they had to fellowship in order to maintain the spirit of unity and godliness.

Apostle Luke, the beloved physician said, “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.” The Word of God remains our rallying point and it binds us with a strong cord to God.

Fellowship glorifies God and gladdens His heart. God desires and commends it; He brings His blessings upon us when we fellowship in love. Fellowship strengthens and binds the members of the body of Christ together.

In fellowship we learn and understand one another. The joy of the Lord becomes our strength. Fellowship brings joy to brethren and it also restores backsliders and brings those back home who have strayed far away.

Fellowship attracts unbelievers to Christ.
When they watch our relationship with one another, the display of unfeigned love, they will cherish our company.

Fellowship multiplies the grace of God in our lives and great is our reward when we maintain true fellowship.

GODLY FELLOWSHIP OF BRETHREN ENHANCES SPIRITUAL GROWTH.

Shalom and good morning.
