“FACTS ABOUT THE BIBLE!”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is valuable for teaching the truth, convicting of sin, correcting faults and training in right living; thus anyone who belongs to God may be fully equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

God has transmitted His very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.

Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature, and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.

FACTS ABOUT THE BIBLE

The Word ‘Bible’ Comes From The Greek Word “Biblos” Which Means Book.
The Bible Is Divided Into Two Major Divisions Namely:

THE OLD TESTAMENT
THE NEW TESTAMENT

There Are 66 Books In Both Testaments Consisting Of 39 Books In The Old Testament And 27 Books In The New Testament.

The Entire Bible Has A Total Of 1,189 Chapters, 31,173 Verses, 773,746 Words And 3,566,480 Letters. It was Originally Written In Hebrew And Greek.

The Old Testament Was Originally Written In Hebrew And It Is Also Divided Into Three Distinct Classes Namely:
The Law (Hebrew Torah)
(Genesis To Deuteronomy)
The Prophets (Nebiim)
(Joshua, Judges, 1 Sam, 2 s
Sam, 1 Kings, 2 Kings, Isaiah, Jeremiah ,Ezekiel, Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah And Malachi)
The Writings (Kethubim) (Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Solomon, Ruth, Esther, LamentationsAnd Ecclesiastes)

The New Testament Originally Written In Greek Contains 27 Books And It Is Divided Into Four Parts:

1) The Gospels
2) The Acts Of The Apostles
3) The Epistles And The
4) Book Of Revelation

The Jews Actually Divided The 39 Books Of The Old Testament Into 24 Books:
(Samuel, Kings, Chronicles And Ezra-Nehemiah, Were One Book Each;
And 12 Minor Prophets Made Only One Book.

Jesus Christ Also Recognized This Division Of Scripture In His Day As The Law, The Prophets And The Psalms (Luke 24:25,27,44)

It Should Be Noted That The Original Bible Had No Chapters Or Verses. But In The 13th Century Cardinal Hugo And Stephen Langton Was Credited With Chapter Divisions. While The Modern Verse Divisions Were Made By Robert Stephens.

Remember, the bible is the inspired word of God, therefore believe it and practice it for your good and eternity with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
