“GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYERS”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“How countless those who say of me, ‘There is no salvation for him in God.’ But you, Adonai, are a shield for me; you are my glory, you lift my head high…….” (Psalms 3:2-4).
Many are saying of me, There is no help for him in God. But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. With my voice, I cry to the Lord, and He hears and answers me out of His holy hill.
GOD STILL ANSWERS PRAYERS
Our business in prayer is not to prescribe but to subscribe to the wisdom and will of God. To refer our case to Him and then leave it with Him.
Nothing lies beyond the reach of prayer except that which lies beyond the will of God. You stand best, you who kneels most.
In the Book of Esther chapter 3 through 9, we can see the conspiracies of Satan, the devil in the form of Haman who came against the children of Israel (Esther 3:1-6). The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel supernaturally intervened to save His people through Mordecai and Esther the Queen.
Mordecai’s Life
Mordecai’s life was filled with challenges that turned into opportunities. When his uncle and aunt died, he adopted their daughter by the name Esther. He encouraged Esther for the beauty contest, which she won to become Queen. But the king’s representative by name Haman did not like Mordecai nor the Jews.
Mordecai was willing to serve the king but refused to worship Haman. Haman was furious with Mordecai, then planned to destroy all the Jews in the kingdom (Esther 3:7-14).
Mordecai, willing to be God’s servant wherever he was, responded by contacting Esther and reminding her that the one reason God had allowed her to be queen might well be to save the Jews from Haman’s conspiracy.
The Almighty God who knows the past, present, and future revealed to the king through night time reading of historical documents that Mordecai had once saved his life. Then, the king realized that he had not shown gratitude to Mordecai the Jew (Esther 6:1-3).
God knows how to turn events to our favour at any time. The Almighty God blended both character and circumstances to accomplish great things. God has not changed the way He works.
God uses the situation we face each day to interlace a design of godliness into our character. Esther was a lowly Jewish woman who was as dazzling in outer beauty as she was in the inner.
She became a queen to a Gentile king Ahasuerus in the palace of Shushan. It was the refusal of her uncle Mordecai to pay homage to Haman, the officer in the king’s court that landed the whole Jewish community into trouble.
Haman designed a death sentence upon the Jews including Queen Esther. The Queen became troubled upon hearing the problem confronting her people, but she trusted in the great God of her fathers.
FAITH ATTRACTS GOD’S SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION!
Everybody shout, “PRAISE THE LORD!”
Shalom and good morning.
