“HOW TO MAINTAIN A GOOD SPIRITUAL WALK!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“What I am saying is this: run your lives by the Spirit. Then you will not do what your old nature wants. For the old nature wants what is contrary to the Spirit and the Spirit wants what is contrary to the old nature. These oppose each other……….” (Galatians 5:16-18)
Let us walk and live habitually in the Holy Spirit, responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit; then, we will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh of human nature without God.
For the desires of the flesh are opposed to the Holy Spirit and the desires of the Spirit are opposed to the flesh, godless human nature; for these are antagonistic to each other continually withstanding and in conflict with each other, so that we are not free but are prevented from doing what we desire to do.
But if we are guided, led by the Holy Spirit, we are not subject to the law.
HOW TO MAINTAIN A GOOD SPIRITUAL WALK
A consistent Christian life is the best interpretation and proof of the gospel.
Therefore, by the outward acts, we can judge the inward thoughts.
It is easy to overlook or abandon our spiritual walk. We can either be preoccupied with our daily business involvement without knowing that the truth of the gospel that we have received has slipped from us.
You do not need to be in a major valley of sin to lose your good spiritual walk. You do not need to be utterly rebellious to lose your ground spiritually, but just by compromising a little bit here and there and forsaking to do the needful can be very dangerous in regard to your spiritual walk.
Failing to live by what you know, what you have learnt, and your experience from God is obviously dangerous in regard to your spiritual walk. Therefore, if you want to be victorious in your spiritual walk, you need to be spiritually active.
HOW THEN CAN YOU BE SPIRITUALLY ACTIVE?
- By feeding your spirit with the word of God.
- By continually bathing yourself in the river of God and being filled in the Holy Spirit.
- By deciding always to be obedient to God and His word.
- By totally following the footsteps of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
You are blessed to obey every word of God.
Shalom and good morning.
