“PERFECT LOVE AND HOLINESS”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“Therefore, my dear friends, since we have these promises, let us purify ourselves from everything that can defile either body or spirit, and strive to be completely holy, out of reverence for God. Make room for us in your hearts — we haven’t wronged anyone, we haven’t corrupted anyone……..” (2 Corinthians 7:1-3).

Therefore, since these great promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring our consecration to completeness in the reverential fear of God.

Do open your hearts to us again and enlarge them to take us in. We have wronged no one, we have betrayed or corrupted no one, we have cheated or taken advantage of no one. I do not say this to reproach or condemn you, for I have said before that you are nested in our hearts, and you will remain there together with us, whether we die or live. To God be the glory forever, Amen!

PERFECT LOVE AND HOLINESS
Law makes us act from outward compulsion, but love makes us serve from inward compassion.
Faith makes all things possible. Hope makes all things bright. Love makes all things easy. The glory of life is love – not to be loved. To give – not to get, to serve – not to be served.

Perfect love and holiness are of the utmost importance in Christian life. Perfect love and holiness cannot be over emphasized because the Holy Scripture makes us to know that it is possible for us to possess them.

We are exhorted in Hebrews 12:14 to follow peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. Holiness is the gracious work of the Holy Spirit whereby the believer is freed from inward sin and exalted to purity of heart and life.

Holiness and love is not optional for believers but imperative because God is holy, therefore, we must also be holy outwardly and inwardly in action as well as in thought (1Peter 1:15-16).
“But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. For it is written, ‘You shall be holy, for I am holy.'”

God has not called us unto uncleanness but unto holiness (1 Thessalonians 4:7-8). For God’s call on our lives is not to a life of compromise and perversion but to a life surrounded in holiness.Therefore, whoever rejects this instruction isn’t rejecting human authority but God Himself, Who gives us His precious gift—His Spirit of holiness.

Hold on to your faith and it shall be well with you in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
