“A CALL TO OVERCOME YOUR WORRIES!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Don’t worry about anything; on the contrary, make your requests known to God by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then God’s shalom, passing all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with the Messiah Yeshua.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer, petition and definite requests, with thanksgiving, continue to make your requests known to God.
And God’s peace shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
A CALL TO OVERCOME YOUR WORRIES!
Many a time, we go looking for an umbrella even when there are no clouds in the sky.
We are prone to worrying over some inconveniences in life, which may be like the hardships of Joseph that were meant to prepare him for leadership in Egypt or those of David that were meant to prepare him for the throne.
In the Bible, the righteous people who went through hardships were the ones that had the brightest future. For them, the darker the night, the brighter their light shone.
Daniel survived the night in the lion’s den and woke up the following morning to become the most respected person in the King’s household.
Jesus Christ, our Saviour, also suffered crucifixion and all the shame attached to it.
He died and was buried, but rose to become the Saviour of the whole world.
The people of Palestine worried a lot about drought, a few crops, and the scarcity of food.
Jesus knew about the conditions they were facing, but He told His disciples not to worry about those things since they believed in God and could pray.
Jesus gave an example of the birds of the air. “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26).
God has given the fowl the ability to fly. They know where to search for food. They neither pray nor fast, but they possess instinct.
The ants know where food is to be found because God has made them that way.
Now, if God provides for the birds and the animals with their daily food, how will He not feed those who are the crown of His creation?
BE CONCERNED BUT NOT WORRIED.
Somebody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!”
Shalom and good morning.
