BELOVED, ARISE TO THE CALL OF INTERCESSION!

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

So Kefa was being held under watch in prison, but intense prayer was being made to God on his behalf by the Messianic community. The night before Herod was going to bring him to trial, Kefa was sleeping between two soldiers. He was bound…” (Acts 12:5-9).

The church went into a season of intense intercession, asking God to free him. The night before Herod planned to bring him to trial, he made sure that Peter was securely bound with two chains.

Peter was sound asleep between two soldiers, with additional guards stationed outside his cell door, when all at once, an angel of the Lord appeared, filling his prison cell with a brilliant light.

The angel struck Peter on the side to awaken him and said, “Hurry up! Let’s go!” Instantly, the chains fell off his wrists. The angel told him, “Get dressed. Put on your sandals, bring your cloak, and follow me.”

Peter quickly left the cell and followed the angel, even though he thought it was only a dream or a vision, for it seemed unreal, and he couldn’t believe it was really happening!

A CALL TO STAND IN THE GAP FOR OTHERS!

God’s will is for us to stand in the gap. To stand in the gap is to intercede for others.
Therefore, to intercede is to pray on behalf of somebody else.

What is a prayer of intercession?
Prayer of intercession is a persevering prayer with faith, pleading with God on another person’s behalf.

Intercession prayer is crying out to God Almighty on behalf of those who desperately need God’s divine intervention in their situation.

The Bible is replete with godly men and women who interceded for others. The Bible also recorded the intercession of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Prophet Isaiah declared God’s word concerning the watchmen at the walls of Jerusalem (Isaiah 62:6-7).

✝ Jesus’ Intercession for us all
✝Jesus our Lord interceded for the lost (Luke 19:10).
✝Jesus wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41-44).
✝Jesus also prayed for His disciples individually and as a group (Luke 22:32 / John 17:6-26).
✝Jesus also prayed for His enemies (Luke 23:34).

PRAY OR YOU BECOME A PREY TO SATAN!

Shalom and good morning.
