Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; (Hebrews 3:12)

Dearly Beloved in the Lord,

Our response too may not have been different from Martha’s.
See what happened then (John 11):
JESUS: “Your brother shall rise again.”
Martha: “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”
JESUS: “I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in Me although he may die, yet he shall live.”
Martha: “Yes, Lord I have believed that You are the Christ, (the Messiah, the Anointed One), the Son of God Who was to come into the world.”
YET at the tomb of Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary, when Jesus said, “Take away the stone” Martha’s sceptic thoughts: ‘What could He possibly do with my decaying, stinking brother already dead for four days!’ spewed out in words of utter disbelief “But Lord by this time he [is decaying and] throws off an offensive odor, for he has been dead four days.”
Martha believed in Jesus but when Jesus had asked for the stone from the tomb of Lazarus to be removed, her thinking, reasoning and knowing in the ‘natural’ hindered her from believing that Jesus could do the impossible – which was to raise Lazarus then from the dead!
We believe the truth of the Bible but in our situation when we are challenged are we able to stand on the word of God believing the impossible through the resurrected power of Jesus Christ? What hinders you from having a breakthrough? What stumbles you from reaching and holding on to what belongs to you through Christ Jesus?
Would you believe God for the impossible turn around in your life though in the natural you can’t see any fruit? Right where you stand at the Red Sea do you believe the Lord will make a way through the waters to get you across? That kind of action that is favourable much to you may have never been implemented or this new promotion never considered before but for you child of God would you believe that it will be? God can do a miracle in that dead situation for you, can you wait and see? All you need to do is obey the Lord’s bidding: “Take away the stone”. Take away the stone of unbelief, the stone of reasoning in the natural, the stone of ‘seeing’ with the eyes, the stone of doubt and the stone of living in the past. Cast out the ‘scales’ from your eyes, ‘gravecloths’ bound around your heart and ‘tombstones’ shutting out your faith! JESUS CHRIST IS THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE! See your miracle come alive before your eyes as you stand in faith. See God’s life and His resurrection power manifested in your life and your situations!
