“OBEDIENCE TO ADONAI OPENS THE DOOR TO BOUNTIFUL BLESSINGS!”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“He answered them, ‘I am a Hebrew; and I fear Adonai, the God of heaven, who made both the sea and the dry land.’ At this, the men grew very afraid and said to him, ‘What is this that you have done?’ For the men knew he…” (Jonah 1:9-10)

Jonah said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I reverently fear and worship the Lord, the God of heaven, Who made the sea and the dry land.” Then the men were exceedingly afraid and said to him, “What is this that you have done?” For the men knew that he fled from being in the presence of the Lord as His prophet and servant because he had told them.

If we disobey God, trouble can come not only upon us but also on our family.
If a spouse backslides and departs from God, such an act can spell a doom on their household.

If a pastor ignores the leading of the Holy Spirit, his act of disobedience can bring calamity upon his congregation.
If a business partner goes contrary to the word of God, such an act can lead to the utter ruin or collapse of a joint-business.

Since our action may get others into trouble, we need to be careful of what we do. In Jonah’s case, he was the architect of the sailor’s horrifying experience.

Alarmed, the sailors initially tried to steer the ship to safety, but when they could not, they demanded from Jonah a solution.
“And he said to them, ‘Pick me up and throw me into the sea; then the sea will become calm for you. For I know this great tempest is because of me.’ So they picked up Jonah and threw him into the sea, and the sea ceased from its raging.” (Jonah 1:12,15).

It is good that it was Jonah who offered the solution. And truly, as soon as his instruction was carried out, calmness returned to the stormy sea.

We learn a great lesson from this.

If you want a quick solution to your problem, get rid of the cause.
If you do not want to suffer a lung cancer, then get rid of smoking.

If you are afraid of contracting venereal disease or HIV Aids, then stop fornication or adultery.

If you want to be free from loan-shark problems, then get rid of impulsive buying and improper financial management and correctly pay your tithes.

If you do not want to be harassed, humiliated and afflicted by demons, then get rid of occultic engagement and prayerlessness.

If you are being attacked and afflicted by spiritual forces, then do something about the covenant you had with them while you were an unbeliever. Break all affiliation with the demonic world and renounce the hidden things of dishonesty.

DISOBEDIENCE TO GOD LEADS TO DISASTERS.
