“CHARACTERISTICS OF A TIME OF CRISIS”

We are wishing you and your household a blessed feast of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today;

“For even if the fig tree doesn’t blossom, and no fruit is on the vines, even if the olive tree fails to produce, and the fields yield no food at all, even if the sheep vanish from the sheep pen, and there are no cows in the stalls; still, I will rejoice in Adonai, I will take joy in the God of my salvation……..” (Habakkuk 3:17-19)

Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, though the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the victorious God of my salvation!

The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk not to stand still in terror, but to walk and make spiritual progress upon my high places of trouble, suffering, or responsibility.

WHAT ARE THE CHARACTERISTICS OF A TIME OF CRISIS?
Satan’s accusation (Zechariah 3:1-3 / Matthew 4:3-6)
Self-condemnation (Matthew 27:3-5)

Societal recriminations (Job 2:9 / 4:1-9 / Matthew 26:69-75)
Soul confusion (Philippians 1:22-23)

Soul bitterness (2 Kings 4:27)
Sinful surmises or conjecture or speculations (Psalms 73:1-3, 12-13 / Judges 6:13 / Ezekiel 37:11)

Stubborn silence (Psalms 32:1-4 / Acts 5:1-2)
Suspicion and withdrawal

Self-management (Genesis 16:1-2 / 1 Samuel 13:8-12)
The darkness of an empty room would hardly need light. A life lived with no problems, no trials, no wants would have no need for restoration and reassurance. Where would such a life be found on earth?

Praise the Lord, Hallelujah! I will praise and give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart in the council of the upright and in the congregation. The works of the Lord are great, sought out by all those who have delight in them.
