“THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS TO HATE EVIL, PRIDE & ARROGANCE”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“The fear of Adonai is hatred of evil. I hate pride and arrogance, evil ways and duplicitous speech.” (Proverbs 8:13)

The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord includes the hatred of evil; pride, arrogance, the evil way, perverted and twisted speech I hate, said the Lord God.

People who are proud will always be the tail. They will be brought low.
They will always be denied the blessings of God. They may feel that their social status is too lofty for them to obey God’s word in humility.

Some people exalt their social status above God’s word and thereby shut out the blessings of God from their lives (Isaiah 2:12). “For there shall be a day of the Lord of hosts against all who are proud and haughty and against all who are lifted up–and they shall be brought low.”

This is the price of those who remain in their pride. The Lord cannot promote, bless or exalt them because of their pride and loftiness. They want the promises of God but not the divine word of instruction.

This is why they remain as the tail because of their stubbornness, haughtiness and rebellion. Promotion from the tail to the head is God’s will for us.

The Lord has no pleasure in seeing His children in pain, albeit a self-afflicted one.
God rejoices in the promotion of His people. He wants those who are the “tail” to rise up and be the “head.”

God wants to see His people overloaded with blessings. He wants us to be prepared and ready. Only with a ready heart and a prepared mind, can we plunge into a life of obedience and reap the abundance of God’s richest blessings.

We can become the “head” in a city characterized by the rat race and cut-throat competitive business culture.

May we be obedient to God in all aspects of life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
