The Word
NARRATIVES WORTH CONSIDERING
Senior Pastor Daniel O. C. | Jan 23, 2026
Beloved Saint of God Most High,
Calvary greetings to you and yours in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
May the Lord God Almighty bless you with a wonderful and glorious Christ-centred weekend ahead in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
“The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore, let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.
But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (Romans 13:12-14).
Night’s darkness is dissolving away as a new day of destiny dawns. So we must once and for all strip away what is done in the shadows of darkness, removing it like filthy clothes. Once and for all we clothe ourselves with the radiance of light as our weapon. We must live honourably, surrounded by the light of this new day, not in the darkness of drunkenness and debauchery, not in promiscuity and sensuality, not being argumentative or jealous of others. Instead, let us fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and not wasting even a moment’s thought on our former identity to awaken its selfish desires.
NARRATIVES WORTH CONSIDERING
A mind that dwells on lack will always find scarcity, even in abundance.
One of the most cowardly things ordinary people do is to shut their eyes to facts.
Some people envy you not because of what you have, but because you did more with less.
Reading will not solve all your problems, but ignorance will definitely create more of them.
If you are lost, the answer is Christ Jesus.
If you are in Christ Jesus, then bear witness for Him.
If you bear witness for Christ Jesus, be consistent without wavering.
What happens to you is beyond your control but what you do with what happens to you is your responsibility.
Speak less, listen more.
React less, observe more.
Without communication, there is no relationship.
Without Jesus Christ, there is no true love.
Without trust in God through Jesus Christ, there is no reason to continue the relationship.
Work hard in private. Celebrate in silence. Let your detractors wonder.
Stop wasting your time and energy on things you cannot control, like other people’s moods, opinions or actions.
Focus on the one thing you can control: ‘YOU’.
Imagine reading a book with no way to turn back the page. How carefully would you read it? That is life. Be present. Pay attention.
The best skill you can really have is learning how to keep yourself in a good mood in Christ Jesus.
Only fruitful trees get hit. Criticism is proof you are producing. Praise the Lord!
Growth is not about adding more. It is about letting go of who you no longer need to be.
When you are super busy and it feels like you do not have a moment for yourself, that is the exact moment you pause and give thanks to the Lord for all that you are and have because of Him.
When your soul is at peace, every storm becomes a lesson, not a battle.
More is lost by indecision than wrong decision. Indecision is the thief of opportunity.
REMEMBER:
Understanding yourself is power.
Loving yourself is freedom.
Forgiving yourself is peace.
Being yourself is bliss.
Fear always shows up when growth is right in front of you. Walk forward anyway and keep going.
Talent will take us to high positions in our career, but behaviour will help us to maintain the high position in the hearts of others.
Everybody shout a loud, “HELP ME LORD TO BE WHAT YOU WANT ME TO BE!”
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
