BELIEVERS’ FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT (PT 1)

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things.” (Galatians 5:22-23)

The fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.

BELIEVERS’ FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT (PT 1)

We are first Christians before we become gospel ministers. The Almighty God is concerned about the character and life of all Christians who bear the vessels of the Lord (Isaiah 52:11). In all Christendom, there is an emphasis on Christian character.

Anointing without character is like a tall building without foundation. Our lifestyle must match our message. The Christlike qualities or virtues seen in spiritual Christians are referred to in the Bible as the fruit of the Spirit.

Our Lord and Saviour is glorified when believers bring forth fruit. God derives joy and happiness in seeing Christ’s life in His children. Furthermore, fruit-bearing is a mark of true discipleship.

The credential of a fruitful Christian is the fruit of the Spirit that abounds in his / her life. “By this shall all men know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.”

It is required of every believer in Christ to produce the fruit of the Spirit; still, much more is required in servants of God to produce the fruits compatible with the calling. “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required.”

In the original Greek language, the passage in Gal 5:22-23 is constructed to mean that there is a single fruit of the spirit, and that is love. This love is, however, manifested in our attitude and actions as “joy / peace / long suffering….”

Only as we live in love can we fulfil the will of God in our lives. Without love, we are just “sounding brass or a clanging cymbal” (1 Cor 13). Love is an activity and a behaviour, not just as an inner feeling or motivation.

Various aspects of love characterizes God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Love exalts Christlike character more than ministry, faith, or possession. God the Almighty emphasizes character that acts in love, patience, kindness, and unselfishness. It is also character that hates evil and loves truth / honesty and endurance in righteousness.
This Christ like character acts in love much more than to move mountains or perform great achievements.

We must be great in inward godliness and love for God, not just only on outward accomplishments. God’s love poured out on our hearts is always greater than faith, hope, or anything else.

BELOVED HAVE CHARACTER BUT DON’T BE A CHARACTER.

Everybody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!

Shalom and good morning.
