“HOW TO REACH THE FINANCIAL WORLD THROUGH TRANSPARENT ACCOUNTABILITY”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“You are salt for the Land. But if salt becomes tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything except being thrown out for people to trample on. You are light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:13-14)

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, its strength and its quality, how can its saltness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.

Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop?

Habit is a cable; we weave a thread of it every day and at last we cannot break it.
Where there is no accountability surely there is no responsibility.

Our power as kingdom citizens is in our difference from the world. Just as salt is different from that into which it is placed, we must make a difference at our workplace, even in our homes.

Salt also acts to preserve and we the kingdom citizens must act to preserve the world from corruption and to save it from condemnation.
As the light of the world, we the subjects of the kingdom is to witness to our faith through personal examples and manifest the light by our testimonies and actions.

Whichever way we look at it, our world is a dying world. Sin and wickedness have reached unprecedented levels. More than ever before, men and women have given over to the worst manifestation of their base nature etc.

Greed, lust for power and wealth, inordinate ambition and corruption is on the rampant increase (Micah 7:2-4). In the financial world, fraud, theft, embezzlement, bribery and boardroom politics have become so common that things have been taken for granted.

In some of the countries of the world, bribery and corruption is captioned as a“national factor”.
The general attitude, even among many Christians appears to be, “If you cannot beat them, join them.”

In some parts of the world, where bribery is very common, they even clamour to legalise corruption as their way of living, but this is an anathema to Christian principles.

As Christian professionals in the financial world working closely with moguls at the top echelons, God expects us to act as the light and salt of the financial world.

God has planted you in the financial world to shine as lights in the darkness and as salt to prevent further decay while arresting the corrupt practices around you.

God has appointed us in the financial world as“watchmen” (Ezekiel 3:17 / 33:2-3). God expects us to warn of the consequences of sin and corrupt practices not only through our preaching but more so through our pure, transparent and exemplary lives of holiness.

“LET US LIVE AS EXAMPLES!”
