“SELF DELUSION”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night you will die! And the things you prepared — whose will they be?’ That’s how it is with anyone who stores up wealth for himself without being rich toward God” (Luke 12:20-21).
But God said to him, You fool! This very night the messengers of God will demand your soul of you; and all the things that you have prepared, whose will they be? So it is with the one who continues to lay up and hoard possessions for himself and is not rich in his relation to God and this is how he fares.
SELF DELUSION
What is self-delusion? Self-delusion is a false opinion or idea, a false unshakeable belief indicating a severe mental disorder.
Self-delusion is a deception, error, illusion, fallacy and misconception.
Self-delusion may arise due to prosperity. (Psalms 30:6 / Hosea 12:8)
In such a case God may give you up. (Proverbs 1:30-31 / Hosea 4:17-19 / Romans 1:24-25)
SELF DECEPTION LEADS TO: (2 Thessalonians. 2:10-12)

Condemnation

A man will never believe his real character until the Divine mirror is held before him. (Romans 7:9 / Proverbs 3:7-8)
Self-delusion leads people to practice wickedness. (Jeremiah 44:15-19)
Notice that people did not obey the truth that Jeremiah had spoken the word of the Lord (v 16) but they openly disowned and adamantly disobeyed the Almighty God in their zealous determination to align themselves with the “queen of heaven”. (v 17)
Israel declared herself independent and self-sufficient apart from God. Their wives also made it clear that they not only requested but also received the full consent and co-operation of their husbands. (v19)
Self-delusion leads people to:
Self righteousness, Pride and arrogance. Cruelty and oppressiveness (Proverbs 30:12-14). Self-delusion leads people to believe that they are better than others. (Lk 18:11-12) Self-delusion leads people to claim so-called spiritual standard. (Revelations 3:17)
Self-delusion makes people to believe that they will have peace while in sin. (Deuteronomy 29:19)
Self-delusion makes one to believe in “self”. Etc…and that they are above adversity. (Psalms 10:6-7)
Self-delusion makes them believe that gifts will give them passage to heaven. (Matthew 7:21-23) Self-delusion makes people believe that their privileged position entitles them to heaven. (Matthew 3:9)
Self-delusion makes people believe that achievements and height of glory proves their worthiness. (Hosea 12:8)
Self-delusion makes people believe that God does not punish sin. (Jeremiah 5:12-13)
BE ON YOUR GUARD IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!
