“CONCRETE STEPS TO A NEW LIFE”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“If we claim not to have sin, we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we acknowledge our sins, then, since he is trustworthy and just, he will forgive them and purify us from all wrongdoing………” (1 John 1:8-10).

If we boast that we have no sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and are strangers to the truth. But if we freely admit our sins when His light uncovers them, He will be faithful to forgive us every time.

God is just to forgive us our sins because of Christ, and He will continue to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we claim that we’re not guilty of sin when God uncovers it with His light, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.

CONCRETE STEPS TO A NEW LIFE (Proverbs 28:13 / Acts 3:19)

The experience of new life is purely by grace, there is no righteousness or goodness of our own by which we can merit divine favour and acceptance (Ephesians 2:5, 8-9).

TO HAVE A NEW LIVE, WE MUST:
Appropriate God’s love for our lives as individuals. (John 3:16-18)

Acknowledge that we have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Psalms 51:5 / Romans 3:23).

Repent, confess and forsake all known sins (1 John 1:9 / Proverbs 28:13).

Pray to God for forgiveness through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary and believe that we have been forgiven (Psalms 32:1-2).

It is the new birth in Christ Jesus that ushers one into the newness of life and grants us favour with God in this present world and in the world to come.

Without experiencing this glorious work of salvation which was provided for by the vicarious death of Jesus on the cross, nobody can see the kingdom of God (John 3:3).

Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all believers in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
