“TENDER HANDS THAT TOUCH HEAVEN”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“For I have set you an example, so that you may do as I have done to you” (John 13:15).
For I have given you this as an example, so that you should do in your turn what I have done to you, says Adonai Yeshua.
TENDER HANDS THAT TOUCH HEAVEN
There are examples in the Bible of children who knew the Lord at a tender age and walked with God, faithfully obeying His Word. Jehoash was seven years old when he began to reign but he did not achieve this just on his own.
He was aided by an adult. “Jehoash did what was right in the sight of the Lord all the days in which Jehoiada the priest instructed him” (2 Kings 12:2). The right things Jehoash the king did must have included prayer under the instructions of the priest Jehoiada.
To get the house of God repaired must not only have taken money for buying the materials, but also prayer to make the repair successful.
Josiah was eight years old when he became king, and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem. And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and walked in the ways of his father David; he did not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was still young, he began to seek the God of his father David; and in the twelfth year he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem of the high places, the wooden images, the carved images, and the molded images” (2 Chronicles 34:1-3).
Seeking after God at that tender age must have included prayer, as he was able to carry out the destruction of idol worship effectively in the land of Judah.
If we want our children to pray, then they must hear us pray. The greatest demonstration of God’s power to our children is knowing that we parents get answers to our prayers. This happens when they have heard us pray and have seen the results.
The greatest inheritance we can leave our young ones are our personal prayer lives which they can model theirs after. The prayer life of our children can even grow to become a challenge and an encouragement to us.
“MAY THE YOUNG AND YOUNGER ONES HEAR US PRAY IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME, AMEN!”
Somebody shout, “SO HELP ME GOD!”
Shalom and good morning.
