The resurrection of Jesus Christ is not a myth or an imagination—it is a true and witnessed event. It was foretold in the Old Testament and confirmed by many, for He “presented himself alive… by many infallible proofs” (Acts 1:3). On the very day He rose, He appeared to different groups, and later to many more, even “more than five hundred brethren at one time” (1 Corinthians 15:6). The testimony is consistent and clear: He is risen indeed. The resurrection is not a claim to consider—it is a truth that confronts every life.
He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification (Romans 4:25).
The resurrection is the cornerstone of the Christian faith, for “if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins!” (1 Corinthians 15:17). Jesus did not die for His own sin—He “knew no sin” (2 Corinthians 5:21)—but as the Son of God who became man, He bore our sins (1 Peter 2:24). If He had remained in the grave, it would raise the question whether the payment was sufficient. But God “raised him from the dead” (Acts 2:24), showing that the sacrifice was fully accepted. Therefore, we are justified—declared righteous before God, for “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1). His death removes our guilt. His resurrection secures our righteousness.
Just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too may live a new life (Romans 6:4).
The resurrection is not only something to just believe—it is something to live out. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation” (2 Corinthians 5:17). We are no longer defined by our past but by our identity as children of God — “to all who did receive him… he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). As pilgrims, we set our minds “on things above, not on earthly things” (Colossians 3:2). Our desires change, for it is now “God who works in you to will and to act” (Philippians 2:13). Our purpose becomes like our Lord’s: “My food… is to do… and to finish His work” (John 4:34). The proof of His resurrection is seen in the reality of our transformed lives.
Glory to God! Jesus has risen, our sins are forgiven, our right standing with God is secured, and our lives are forever transformed.
Maranatha!
