“THE FREEDOM THROUGH THE CROSS”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in that the Messiah died on our behalf while we were still sinners. Therefore, since we have now come to be considered righteous by means of His bloody sacrificial death…….” (Romans 5:8-10).
But God shows and clearly proves His own love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ the Messiah, the Anointed One died for us.
Therefore, since we are now justified, acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God by Christ’s blood, how much more certain is it that we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more certain, now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved daily delivered from sin’s dominion through His resurrection life.
THE FREEDOM THROUGH THE CROSS
Jesus’ death on the cross was a great victory for us, because God dealt with our sins on the cross. It means also that all the misery and suffering which came as a result of sin was also dealt with.
The cross has won great freedom for us such as the following: –
Freedom from satan (Colossians 2:15 / 1:13)
Freedom from past sins (John 8:36 / Colossians 2:13)
Freedom from present sins (Romans 6:14)
Freedom from sickness (Matthew 8:17)
Freedom from curses (Galatians 3:13 / Deuteronomy 28:15-68)
Freedom from judgement (Hebrews 9:26-27)
Freedom from everlasting death (John 3:16)
LOVE AND JUSTICE MEET AT THE CROSS
The cross is the place where the love of God and the righteous judgement of God meet. The righteous judgement of God demanded the death penalty for sin – the shedding of blood.
The love of God met His own demands and Jesus the Son of God died in our place. (Romans 5:8-11)
THE CROSS IS THE CENTRE OF HISTORY
The cross of Jesus Christ is the centre point of mankind’s existence on earth.
From the moment the first man and woman, Adam and Eve sinned.
God planned for redemption through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross.
Therefore if you believe and accept the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ you shall receive forgiveness and new life.
THE BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST
The shedding of the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross was a factor for us to receive forgiveness and acceptance into the presence of God. (Hebrews 9:22)
When we sin, we earn death. (Romans 6:23) Jesus paid this penalty for us by shedding His blood. (Dying for us)
WE ARE THE REDEEMED!
Everybody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!”
Sabbath shalom and good morning.
