BELOVED, YOU SHALL POSSESS GOD’S PROMISES WITHOUT FAIL

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

By trusting, Avraham obeyed, after being called to go out to a place which God would give him as a possession; indeed, he went out without knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).

Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.

POSSESSING GOD’S PROMISES
A lot is recounted in the scriptures about Abraham and his faith. He met the Lord quite late in life yet he demonstrated a virile faith and maintained a vibrant relationship with Him, the Almighty God.

There is much to learn from God’s dealing with Abraham and his response to divine overtures. The Almighty God made many outstanding promises to Abraham. In fact, some of these promises appear unrealistic to the natural mind, but it took Abraham’s brand of faith to receive the fulfilment of these promises.

God’s promises to Abraham cover diverse areas. A study of the promises reveals that they were beyond the scope of the natural possessions of Abraham. It consisted of a land Abraham would inherit and also bequeath to his descendants.

The Lord went as far as giving him the dimensions of the territory. God also spoke about those who would inherit this expansive land.

The inhabitants, He said, would be great and innumerable as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then would his seed also be numbered (Genesis 13:16). This also involves blessing the entire human race through the seed of Abraham.

A descendant of his (Jesus) would be given for the redemption of the lost offsprings of Adam. As far as Abraham was concerned, those promises were tall and near impossible (Genesis 15:2-3).

But the scriptures confirm that he was able to inherit all, not in a vacuum, but on the platform of his faith in God. Faith became the underlying factor that qualified him for the promised blessings.

Saint of the living God, God has given us promises through the seed of Abraham — Jesus Christ our Saviour. God’s promises to us are many. Sometimes, it staggers our imagination when we consider the scope of these promises, but we can fully inherit them by the same token of Abraham’s faith.

As we face this horrible time of uncertainties regarding the economic slowdown, will you begin to believe God for promotion in your company? Will you believe God for the best paying job? Will you believe God for a good income as a reward?

Will you believe God for your total healing?
Will you believe God for your freedom from all bondages?
These are the questions that challenge your faith today. In Jesus’ name, we shall inherit all. Amen!

Everybody shout, “I SHALL POSSESS MY POSSESSIONS NOW IN JESUS’ NAME, AMEN!

Sabbath shalom and good morning.
