“HAVE CHARACTER BUT DO NOT BE A CHARACTER”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“Let your attitude toward one another be governed by your being in union with the Messiah Yeshua: Though he was in the form of God, he did not regard equality with God something to be possessed by force” (Philippians 2:5-6).
Let this same attitude and purpose and humble mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: Let Him be your example in humility.
Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God, did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped or retained,
HAVE CHARACTER BUT DO NOT BE A CHARACTER
Ability will put somebody on the top of the ladder but it takes character to keep that person there. You may lack cash but don’t lack character.
When wealth is lost, nothing is lost, when health is lost, something is lost, but when character is lost, everything is lost. Therefore, reputation comes from without, but character grows up from within.
Church!
The most destructive acid of a poison in this world is found in a sour disposition.
The Lord our God does not want us to grin at our wrong attitude but to change it.
- We must understand the principles and power of faith (Hebrews 11:1-3, 6).
- We must lay aside every weight of sin, looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:1-2).
- We must strengthen the hands which hang down (Hebrews 12:12-13).
- We must pursue peace and holiness (Hebrews 12:14-15).
- We must realize that we belong to the church of the firstborn (Hebrews 12:23-24).
- We must understand that we have received the kingdom that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28).
- We must continue in brotherly love (Hebrews 13:1).
- We must not forget to entertain strangers and also visit the prisoners (Hebrews 13:2-3).
- Our conduct must be without covetousness (Hebrews 13:5-6).
- We must always remember those who ministered to us (Hebrews 13:7).
- We must always remember that Jesus never changes (Hebrews 13:8).
- We must not be carried about with various strange doctrines (Hebrews 13:9).
- We must not forget to do good and to share (Hebrews 13:16).
WE ARE KNOWN TO GOD BY OUR CHARACTER!
Somebody shout, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Shalom and good morning.
