“OUR SERVICE TO ADONAI”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“If someone speaks, let him speak God’s words; if someone serves, let him do so out of strength that God supplies; so that in everything God may be glorified through Yeshua the Messiah — to him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen” (1 Peter 4:11).
Whoever speaks, let him do it as one who utters oracles of God; whoever renders service, let him do it as with the strength which God furnishes abundantly, so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ the Messiah. To Him be the glory and dominion forever and ever through endless ages. Amen!
How Can We Become Servants of JESUS CHRIST?
- We must be saved from our sin. (John 3:3)
- Separated from the world. (1 John 2:15-17 / 2 Corinthians 6:17-18)
- We must be obedient to God’s word. (John 8:31)
- We must be sanctified. (2 Timothy 2:19 / John 17:17)
- We must be baptized in the Holy Ghost. (Acts 1:8)
SERVICE TO THE KING OF KINGS
We are saved to serve both God and man.
A Christian who truly loves God serves faithfully at all times, not only when he or
she can attract public attention to self.
The life of our Lord Jesus Christ was spent in serving humanity, and we His followers must follow His example (1 Pet 2:21).
Our service to God must be characterized by the holiness of life (Romans 12:1).
Sacrificial love for the unbelievers (1 Corinthians 13:1-3).
Compassion for the lost (Matthew 9:36-38).
Prayerfulness and selflessness (Romans 10:1).
We must serve God and humanity willingly, promptly, and always. Every one of us born in the kingdom of God is called to serve in some capacity. There is no exception.
Everyone must preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).
We must do all we can to make life worth living for others in the:
Market places
Hospitals such as the medical personnel and the patient.
Schools – teachers, students, and non-teaching staff too.
Prisons – to criminals and law enforcement agents.
Churches – all members and leaders
Family – husbands, wives, children, and relations.
Community as an ambassador of Jesus Christ.
We as Christians have important services to give to the dying world.
Beloved saints of God, we are the crown of creation, and we bear the light of God in this dark world.
What a position, what a privilege! We are promoted by God to serve Him and man in this dispensation. In the early church, everyone went everywhere with the gospel to all who needed the Saviour.
God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek and serve Him. While we are here on earth, we must be occupied with the Lord’s service. We must seek to expand and extend the kingdom of God, and He will surely add unto us all other things that our heart desires.
More so, we have the promise of seeing Him as He is and living eternally with Him in heaven. We must arise and serve the righteous King of heaven while we still have the opportunity.
Only one life, one chance, one privilege and one opportunity. What counts in our life is not the earthly things we possess but our hope in eternal life and that is seeing the King of kings on the last day.
(1 CHRONICLES 29:5)
“WHO THEN IS WILLING TO CONSECRATE HIMSELF THIS DAY TO THE LORD?”
Shalom and good morning.
