TRUE SCALE OF JUDGEMENT FOR THIS UNJUST WORLD (CONT’D)

IMPROPER SCALES OF JUDGEMENT
(Deuteronomy 16:18-20 / Proverbs 24:28 / Isaiah 5:23-24 / John 7:24 / Proverbs 29:25 / 2 Peter 2:4-6)

Different societies have their laws, code of conduct or constitutions written or unwritten.
These are usually based on some religious rules and commandments. Therefore, having some form of commandment of God.

Contraventions of any of the regulations constitute an offence, civil or criminal in that society and there are penalties for each offence.
However, due to the depravity of men, man always manifests his self-will, rebellion and stubbornness even in the administration of justice.

Many a time, mankind go against the will of God in justice. An example is King Herod, seeing that the Jews were pleased with the murder of John the Baptist.
He also laid his hands on Apostle Peter, intending to kill him only to please the people and to consolidate his position (Acts 12:1-4).
Felix the governor was expecting Paul the Apostle to give him money (bribe) before he could administer justice.
Through the ages and also in contemporary times, the judgement of man has largely been characterised by favouritism, nepotism, position seeking, fear of man, selfishness, covetousness, bribery, corruption, perjury, deceit, false witness and the like. These are improper scales and are contrary to the will of God.

HOW TO PRESENT THE TRUE SCALES OF JUDGEMENT
(Proverbs 20:7-10, 23 / 2:3-11)

Apart from living a transparent Christian life, we can use the following methods to present true scales of judgement.

  • Personal evangelism
  • Lunch hour fellowship
  • Literature evangelism
  • Tea party presentations
  • Special programmes
  • Evangelising the world by telling them of the unchanging love of Christ and the supportive help of the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit is always there to help those who desire to get closer to the Almighty God, gain the necessary courage to overcome fear and its allies.
Obedience to God brings satisfaction in this present world and the world to come.

Remain blessed and rapturable,

Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,

Dr. Daniel O. C.
