“HOW TO SERVE THE LORD”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“So now, Isra’el, all that Adonai your God asks from you is to fear Adonai your God, follow all his ways, love him and serve Adonai your God with all your heart and all your being” (Deuteronomy 10:12).
Now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you but reverently to fear the Lord your God, that is to walk in all His ways and to love Him, and to serve the Lord your God with all your mind, heart and with your entire being,
HOW TO SERVE THE LORD
The believers’ talents are not to be laid up for self but laid out in service.
No matter how small your lot may be in life, there is always room for a service station.
Service was never intended as a substitute for a godly life.
Many times, people asked how they could serve the Lord.
How can I maintain my faithfulness in serving the Lord?
How can I offer a selfless service to the Almighty God?
The call of God to men and women through the ages is that we should serve Him whole-heartedly without any divided interest or loyalty.
Although the world in which we live is corrupt and evil, yet the Almighty God, who is pure, holy and just demands that we do His will amongst people.
We cannot serve God and Satan. We cannot serve the prince of this world and the King of kings at the same time.
Our gracious heavenly Father sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ into the world to show us the acceptable way of serving God (Romans 12:1-2).
Jesus also came to destroy the works of the devil and to remove the wall of partition between God and man. In fact, all the hindrances and impediments to our service to God were dealt with at Calvary. (1 John 3:8)
Jesus, our Saviour is our perfect example. He was faithful to God in all that He was appointed to do. Jesus came to this world to do the will of His Father. He was faithful unto death.
In love, He gave all that He had for the salvation of the world. Having proved faithful in all things, He commissioned the disciples to preach the gospel. Beloved, are you sharing the love of God with people today?
SERVANTS OF THE KING OF KINGS
(Romans 6:16-22 / John 12:26 / 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 / Luke 16:13)
We become servants of Christ when we are washed with the blood of Jesus. This happens when we acknowledge our sinful state, repent, and believe in the Lord Jesus for salvation (Galatians 6:17).
Serve the Lord with reverent awe and worshipful fear; rejoice and be in high spirits with trembling lest you displease Him.
Shalom and good morning.
