“WHAT ARE THE GREAT POSSIBILITIES OF PREVAILING PRAYER?”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“And Nehemiah prayed, Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn their taunts upon their own heads, and give them for a prey in a land of their captivity and cover not their iniquity and let not their sin be blotted out from before thee:…….” (Nehemiah 4:4-5)
Nehemiah prayed, Hear, O our God, for we are despised. Turn their taunts upon their own heads, and give them for a prey in a land of their captivity.
Cover not their iniquity and let not their sin be blotted out before You, for they have vexed with alarm the builders and provoked You.
WHAT ARE THE GREAT POSSIBILITIES OF PREVAILING PRAYER?
- Changed the course of nature. (Joshua 10:12-14)
- Prison doors opened (Acts 16:25-26)
- Uncrossable river parted (Exodus 14:13-31)
- Dead raised to life (1 Kings 17:17-23 / 2 Kings 4:31-36)
- Power with God and man (Genesis 32:26-28)
- Prosperity in famine (2 Kings 7:1, 16, 18)
- Victory over all enemies (Luke 10:17-19)
- Overcoming temptations (Matthew 4:1-11)
- Healing (Acts 3:9 –lame healed)
- Barrenness turned to fruitfulness (1 Samuel 1:8-18)
- Prosperity for the nation (2 Chronicles 7:14 / Isaiah 58:8-12)
- Opens the doors of utterance (Ephesians 6:18-19)
- Anointing for powerful preaching (Luke 24:49 / Acts 1:8)
Many saints have also left us with a monument of what prevailing prayer ought to be. Saints of God like Father Nash, Charles G. Finney, John Knox, John Hyde, Madam Guyon, Catherine Booth, and E. M. Bounds. etc.
All these people lived a challenging and dynamic prayer life which transformed people, advanced the course of the gospel and affected the socio-economic life of their nation.
Does your prayer life make any impact on peoples’ lives today? There is nothing prayer cannot do. Prayer of absolute faith in God changes negative circumstances.
Just take your problems to God in prayer with the assurance that you will not be denied (Romans 4:21).
THE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYER IS ASSURED IN JESUS’ NAME!
Somebody shout, “AMEN HALLELUJAH!”
Shalom and good morning.
