“BELOVED, FOSTER UNITY FOR IT IS WELL PLEASING TO ADONAI!”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put snares alongside the teaching in which you have been trained — keep away from them. For men like these are not serving our Lord the Messiah but their own belly………..” (Romans 16:17-18)

Brethren, be on your guard concerning those who create dissensions, difficulties and cause divisions, in opposition to the doctrine that you have been taught. Turn aside from them and avoid them.

For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites and base desires, and by ingratiating and flattering speech, they beguile the hearts of the unsuspecting and simpleminded people.

CAUSES OF DIVISION IN THE CHURCH
What causes division among the people of God is selfishness, carnality, depravity of human nature, rebellion against God and His Word.

Whenever there are mixed multitudes, having saved and unsaved people, prayerful and prayerless, spiritual and carnal ones, sanctified and unsanctified, surely disunity and disharmony will abound.

Strangers to the kingdom are always the sources of problems and disunity in the church. Goats among the sheep cause disunity in the flock. Agents of the devil among the people of God cause disunity.

The heady ones mix with the humble and cause disunity. But when there is conversion, crucifixion of the old man and total transformation of our lives, there will be genuine real biblical unity among the people of God.

No Christian can live in isolation. We are saved to become a part of the body.
We are to follow the pattern established by God in His Word. We must not be self-willed nor be a lone ranger. We must be united with other Christians at heart.

The unity God expects in the church is “Qualified” by its Christ centeredness.
This unity is different from a “Babylonian” unity. God kind of unity is different from a human based or businessman or denominational unity. The focus here is Christ-centred-unity. The unity that is based on Christ. It symbolises and reflects Christ. It has Christ and His teaching at the very centre.

Remember, divisive people cause divisions and are followers of their own natural instincts, devoid of the life of the Spirit.

DON’T BE DIVISIVE FOR IT’S DEMONIC.
