The Word
NARRATIVES OF A SIMPLE KNOWLEDGE
Senior Pastor Daniel O. C. | Jun 27, 2025
Beloved Saint of God Most High,
Calvary greetings to you and yours in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, Amen!
May the Lord God Almighty bless you with a wonderful and glorious Christ-centred weekend ahead in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
“Therefore, lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does” (James 1:21-25).
This is why we abandon everything morally impure and all forms of wicked conduct.
Instead, with a sensitive spirit we absorb God’s Word, which has been implanted within our nature, for the Word of Life has power to continually deliver us.
If we only listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, it is the essence of self-deception. Always let God’s Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!
If you listen to the Word and don’t live out the message you hear, you become like the person who looks in the mirror of the Word to discover the reflection of his face in the beginning. You perceive how God sees you in the mirror of the Word, but then you go out and forget your divine origin. But those who set their gaze deeply into the perfecting law of liberty are fascinated and respond to the truth they hear and are strengthened by it, they experience God’s blessing in all that they do!
NARRATIVES OF A SIMPLE KNOWLEDGE
You can tell the character of every man when you see how he gives and receives praise.
Character is what makes you a leader worth following.
Silence is a warrior’s armour; discipline is his sword.
If you are not communicating, you are not leading. You must communicate because where there is a void in communication, negativity will fill it.
Distance is the only answer to disrespect. Do not react, do not argue, do not dive into drama. Simply remove your presence.
Obedience flows from the cross, it does not contribute to it. It is a fruit of our union with Christ, not the root.
Sometimes, we need hard days to know who is family, who is a friend, who is a partner and who is a passenger in our lives.
Stay away from people who cannot take responsibility for their actions and who make you feel bad for being angry at them when they do you wrong.
Always remember the crowd chose Barabbas – not because they loved him but because they hated the Truth. Now, let that sink in.
When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.
Age is only a number, a cipher for the records. A man cannot retire his experience. He must use it. Experience achieves more with less energy and time.
Jesus demonstrated how to sit at tables with those who would betray us and maintain our composure and character.
Be coachable: If you are not open to feedback, you are not open to growth.
Someone with a victim mindset is always looking for a villain to blame and a situation to suffer from.
Relationship always works when trust is bigger than doubt, love is bigger than ego and mutual respect is bigger than expectations.
The greatest tragedy is not death but dying without Jesus Christ. This is the raw truth.
African Proverb: When your sister does your hair, you do not need a mirror to see it.
Meaning: Those who consistently act in your best interest can always be trusted.
True wisdom lies in knowing when to act and when to be still.
Everybody shout a loud, “AMEN & AMEN!”
Remain blessed and rapturable,
Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
Dr. Daniel O. C.
