“CHARACTERISTICS OF A LOYAL ASSOCIATE!”

Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:

“And the things you heard from me, which were supported by many witnesses, these things commit to faithful people, such as will be competent to teach others also. Accept your share in suffering……..” (2 Timothy 2:2-3)

The instructions that you have heard from us, along with many witnesses, transmit and entrust as a deposit to reliable and faithful men and women who will be competent and qualified to teach others also.

Take your share of the hardships and suffering which you are called to endure as a good first-class soldier of Christ Jesus.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A LOYAL ASSOCIATE

The characteristics and qualities of a loyal associate are summarized in one word acronym F.A.I.T.H.

F = Faithfulness and Genuine Sincerity
A good associate must be faithful and sincere. (2 Corinthians 1:12)
Faithfulness and sincerity in discharging duties and executing responsibilities.
A faithful and loyal associate does not keep back anything from the leader.

A = Availability ~ Accessible and Reachable.
A good and faithful associate is available at all times. He / she is available in the time of joy and sorrow. Beloved, your ability and talents do not really matter if you cannot make yourself available and ready when needed.

God needs our readiness, availability and willingness more than our ability.
Our ability profits nothing if we are not available. Your availability and willingness will compensate more than your ability.

I = Initiative ~ Creative Ideas
Good associates must generate ideas that will move the ministry forward. Good and loyal associates must be initiative in providing solutions to problems.

Loyal associates do not only see the problems but see solutions to the problems for God’s glory, too.

T = Teachability ~ Obedient and Learning Spirit
A teachable and learning spirit is the true spirit of a loyal associate. A good assistant must be obedient to the God-fearing leader in all things. Obedience to God through honouring our leaders is the hallmark of good associates.

A loyal associate does not choose what and where to obey. His mind is made up to be obedient to the leader and to learn as much as possible. A loyal associate possesses a teachable spirit.

A teachable spirit brings about untold blessing. A learning spirit propels people to a greater future. What obedience and loyalty do to individual lives, fasting and prayer will not do. A loyal associate must possess an obedient, teachable and learning spirit in a greater measure.

H = Honesty ~ Transparent Integrity
A loyal associate is transparently sincere and honest. They have nothing to hide and no secret to cover. Loyal associates do not hoard vital information from their leader.

A loyal associate will never pass a comment like “I wish I had told you earlier” after the crisis. A loyal associate does not deceive the leader or misrepresent people or issues.

A loyal associate speaks forthrightly, clearly and sincerely about issues so as to help the leader make the best decisions.

Every leader who desires unquantifiable success needs to pray for faithful associates. We must maintain faithfulness in our service and unquestionable obedience to him, too. A lot of works are accomplished through faithful associates.

We are who we’re today because of God’s grace and mercy. Therefore, seek to be loyal and faithful in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!
