“SAILING THROUGH THE STORMS OF LIFE VICTORIOUSLY IN YESHUA!”
Saints of God Most High, hear God’s word for you today:
“One day, Yeshua got into a boat with his talmidim and said to them, ‘Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.’ So they set out; and as they were sailing, he fell asleep. A windstorm came down on the lake so that the boat began to fill up with water ……..” (Luke 8:22-25)
One day, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s get in a boat and go across to the other side of the lake.” So they set sail, and soon Jesus fell asleep. But a fierce wind arose and became a violent squall that threatened to swamp their boat.
Alarmed, the disciples woke Jesus up and said, “Master, Master, we’re sinking! Don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” With great authority, Jesus rebuked the howling wind and surging waves, and instantly, they became calm.
Then Jesus said to them, “Why are you fearful? Have you lost your faith in me?” Shocked, they said with amazement to one another, “Who is this man who has authority over winds and waves that they obey him?”
SAILING THROUGH THE STORMS OF LIFE
The problem of life can be compared to a storm. The eagle that soars near the sun is not concerned with how it will cross the raging stream. In the same way, a Christian who draws near to God will not be concerned about how to sail through the storms of life.
As Satan always prepares his weapons to shoot at saints, we the saints must learn to soar above the range of Satan’s weapons. Glory to God! If you all are in the hand of God, why worry about what people say?
In this portion of the scripture, one can easily notice that the disciples have no reason to be afraid because they were in the perfect will of God. Jesus told them to cross over the lake (v22).
This is a word from the Lord. If the Lord tell us to cross over, surely, He will not forsake us. (1 Samuel 12:22 / Isaiah 54:14-15, 17 / Psalms 125:1-2 / Romans 10:11) Whenever the Lord speaks to us, all we need to do is to act upon the divine word regardless of how foolish that word seems to us especially in the time of storm.
Moses, the servant of the Lord, acted upon the word of the Lord to him. (Exodus 14:15-16)
Gideon acted upon the word of the Lord to Him. (Judges 7:7,9)
Simon acted upon the word of the Lord to him. (Luke 5:4-6)
The man at the Bethesda acted upon the word of the Lord to him. (John 5:5-9)
Beloved act upon the word of God and be saved from your problems now. (Isaiah 45:22-24) We need not be afraid of storms of life (2 Timothy 1:7) if we are in the right position with God.
How do we know that we are in the right position with Christ? (1 John 1:7) We also need not be preoccupied with worldly things. (Matthew 6:19-21)
A WORD FROM THE LORD WILL CHANGE YOUR DESTINY.
Everybody shout, “THANK YOU, JESUS!”
Shalom and good morning.
